HW3 Claim is live

Today we launch HW3 Claim. After two rejected demand letters to Tesla EMEA NL, it's time to find every Dutch HW3 owner with a purchased FSD package.

What's going on

Between 2016 and 2023, Tesla sold the Full Self-Driving package to thousands of Dutch owners with the explicit promise that their vehicle would become fully autonomous via software updates. Tesla's Dutch product page stated it plainly:

Every Tesla is equipped with the hardware needed in the future to make the car fully autonomous under virtually all circumstances.

On 10 April 2026, the Dutch RDW approved Tesla's FSD (Supervised) for Dutch public roads. On AI4 hardware only. Hardware 3 is excluded.

Why now

The facts are on the table:

  • Elon Musk publicly admitted on 29 January 2025: "We will need to replace all HW3 computers in vehicles where FSD was purchased."
  • Tesla VP Ashok Elluswamy confirmed as early as 21 August 2024 that HW3 runs a smaller model than AI4.
  • According to fleet data published by TESMAG (March 2026), HW3 performs 3.75x worse than AI4.
  • Tesla's own patent (US20260017503A1) acknowledges that the workaround to run FSD on HW3 can render the system 'inoperable' for perception in autonomous driving.

Tesla rejected both our demand letters.

What we're doing

We're gathering Dutch owners with Hardware 3 and a purchased FSD package. The more people sign up, the more weight this carries when we sit down with Tesla. Or the stronger our position if it goes to court.

Signing up is free, voluntary, and non-binding. Your data is stored on EU servers only and not shared with third parties.

What's next

We'll publish monthly updates on progress. Next steps depend on the number of sign-ups and conversations with legal advisors.
