FSD approved on HW4 only

The Netherlands is the first EU country where Tesla FSD (Supervised) has been approved by the RDW. The approval covers only FSD V14, which cannot run on HW3. On HW3 vehicles the promise is not being delivered. This initiative started here.

What is happening

On 10 April 2026 the RDW approved Tesla FSD (Supervised) for Dutch public roads. The approval covers FSD V14, the current production release. Tesla ships this version exclusively on AI4 hardware. For HW3 vehicles Tesla has announced a stripped-down variant ("v14 Lite") that does not reach the same functionality. For owners of Tesla vehicles with pre-HW4 hardware (HW2, HW2.5 and HW3), an estimated several tens of thousands in the Netherlands, this made clear that the promise sold from 2016 to 2023 is not being fulfilled on their car.

The founder of this register, Mischa Sigtermans, sent two formal notices to Tesla EMEA NL in April and May 2025. Both were rejected.

What we do

We register Dutch owners who still own an HW3 Tesla and who either purchased the FSD package or received Tesla's hardware promise without a separate FSD purchase. Once numbers are strong enough, we will hand the file to a Dutch attorney for a collective action under WAMCA (the Dutch mass claims statute).
